What items would be good for your auctions?

The items need to be small in size as we expect over half of the lots to be bid for by online bidders so being able to post them safely is a key consideration. The condition of an item is very important for all types of genre with the prices achieved being quite wide between the best and worst examples.

What sort of jewellery do you accept?

Jewellery is always a popular item at auction and we are happy to accept gold jewellery, silver jewellery and designer costume jewellery. 

 

What do you mean by Silverware?

Silverware means hallmarked silver, we do not sell any items as silver unless they carry a hallmark. 

 

What is a vintage item?

Vintage items are items that are at least 20 years old.

 

What is meant by Retro items?

Retro refers to items that are evocative of another era, so they could be brand new items or maybe only few years old. Many retro design items are being welcomed into peoples homes as they are very on trend at the moment.

 

How old does an item need to be to qualify as an antique?

Items must be at least 100 years old.

 

If I'm not sure if my item is suitable, what should I do?

You can upload and send us an image of the item via the contact us page accompanied by as much relevant information as possible.

 

I have never been to an auction before, do I need to pay to get in?

No, admission to the auction is free.
